SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic

20 Jul

This is one of my favorite staples in my skin care regime and apparently I’m not the only one who feels this way.  SkinCeuticals CE Ferulic is an Allure Best of Beauty three-time award winner!

There are a couple of things to note before considering adding or supplementing it into your own skin care regime.  First thing to note is it is pricey, costing $146 for 30 ml.  Secondly, if you’re not a consistent user or looking for quick results this may not be the product for you.  It’s best results are seen with ongoing use and giving it a fair shot.  I’d recommend at least a month.  It did not help much with my hyperpigmentation but it does give my skin an overall healthier look and feel.  And lastly, the smell is not exactly pleasant due to the plant antioxidants.  In the morning when I use this serum, I apply my sunscreen on top which dulls the smell and doesn’t personally bother me much.

Vitamin E can also make certain skin types break out but again if it doesn’t the benefits of this antioxidant are great!  CE Ferulic is not marketed to oily/breakout prone skin.  For that they offer Phloretin CF due to it’s supposed antiseptic benefits.

Ingredients:  Antioxidant combination of 15% pure L-ascorbic acid, 1% alpha tocopherol, and ferulic acid.

Starting at:

$146.00

30 ml

Not marketed to oily/breakout prone skin… the bane of my existence. 😉
This sounds intriguing, though. (Or rather the Phloretin CF does.) Is there a specific reason why you started using it? It doesn’t say exactly what the serum promises to achieve. I assume it’s supposed to give you healthier-looking, supple skin?

I have just discovered your website/blog and like it very much.
Is it ok to mention specific other products in the comments, as recommendations for other readers? Like similar or more affordable versions of the product mentioned in the post?

I don’t want it to seem as if I’m just here to advertise something else. I promise I’m not, so I’ll end this here. 🙂

Here are some more great details about what the serum helps accomplish –

      1. Provides advanced environmental protection against UVA, UVB and infrared radiation A
      2. Stimulates collagen synthesis to improve signs of aging
      3. Increases firmness and replenishes lipids to reduce wrinkles
      4. Helps prevent thymine dimers, DNA mutations associated with skin cancer

And to top it off, once absorbed, this serum can’t be washed or rubbed off. It remains effective for a minimum of 72 hours, making it an excellent addition to sunscreen. I stated to use for the collagen synthesis, which I have been pleased with along with all the other added benefits!

And of course, feel free to mention or recommend products for other readers anytime! We love readers thoughts and opinions.

Thanks for writing and hope you continue to enjoy our blog. We’re also happy to test any suggested products if you’d like to suggest any.

      Best, Team G+T

Thank you for the further details on this product. It certainly explains the price, but seems well worth it if it keeps its promises! Protecting one’s skin from damaging outside influences becomes more and more important, unfortunately.

I absolutely still enjoy the blog – especially the fact that it’s not just reviews of various products, but a lovely mix of posts that emphasise the importance of inner beauty and simple tips and tricks for any budget. Please keep it up! 🙂
